Abraham: When God Calls Out
April 5, 2013 • Genesis 12-21

It would be like winning a sweepstakes or receiving some distinguished award. But in the Bible the people who get called upon to play key parts in God’s unfolding drama of redemption often ended up leading hard lives. Today on Groundwork we begin a series on some of the key figures from the Book of Genesis, the first people who moved God’s covenant promises forward in history. But as we will see with Abraham, doing that sometimes led to a lot of trials and testing.
